Argentina's Milton Martinez and Brazil's Leticia Bufoni take double wins at the Inferno WCS in Rome!

Saturday was packed action in the park during the street qualification rounds. From these we advanced the top 25 skaters + 4 pre-qualified from the Nass comp in UK and #1 from Prague for a total of 30 skaters for the semis on Sunday. Saturday night was the vert final and wow what a show! It was held at 10pm under the lights and everyone was skating hard in a best of 3 run format. Once again it was Sandro Dias who was victorious! After the comp he tried some 900s for the excited crowd. On the last one he stomped it, but broke his board upon landing and ended up ripping his MCL in his knee. Ouch! He and Neal were on a plane the next morning for Barcelona for another Hawk show and I wish him the best of luck on the last 2 stops of that tour. He’s tough so I am sure he will power through it! Saturday night was Willy’s birthday (he is the main man at the SPOT Skatepark) so we had a big celebration for him right there at the park, where the beers were flowing free for all of the skaters and friends and family! Good times for all who were there.
On Sunday history was made once again as both Letitia Bufoni and Milton Martinez  both dominated both the street and the bowl finals during some heated competitions. Congrats to them both for taking the wins and to the other skaters who also had a great time at The Inferno, which was on fire all weekend long.
