World Cup Skateboarding

As Sunday came we would watch the skaters rip up the jams for an amazing semi and finals. Rodil Jr. got tech and could have easily won, but when Ross McGouran bot busy tearing up the entire skatepark with tech speed and style the judges put him just ahead of Rodil. And the winner is; local ripper and birthday boy Chris Oliver. He had the same speed and style and ripped up the entire course, but just a touch better than Ross. Congrats to Chris on the win and one of the best birthday weekends that he will surely never forget!
Congrats to Martin Andre who did a big 360 over the Goliath gap into a big Mctwist on the ¼ pipe to take the win away from Jussi Korhonen who finished a very close 2nd with a tail grab 3 into a melon 5. After time Andy Scott pulled a beautiful kick-flip backside 360.
That night was the World Cup futball finals and so James and the Sportsvision crew crew through everyone a free drink party using all of the alcohol and beers that were confiscated at the gate over the weekend by the festival goers. You could bring your own case of beer in, but any more than that was going into the Sunday wrap party. Same goes for any bottles of beer, wine or liquor. No bottles policy, meant more for the party. And it was a great party as we all watched Spain beat Holland for the World Cup Finals! The after party continued in the Happy Hookah lounge where everyone faded into the late night fun! A huge thanks to James and the Sportsvision crew for a great event and a great weekend. Congrats goes out to all of the winners and also to all of the skaters who left the super fun, crazy festival with a smile! Also thanks to Relentless Energy drink and the rest of the sponsors who helped make it all happen. Thanks to James for picking me and Matt Milligan as guest judges for a front row view of the Loaded mag bikini contest. We chose the girls in the pink polka dotted bikini! We are all looking forward to coming back for more skating and fun festival craziness next year.
